The Sax-Ensemble foundation was created in 1993 thanks to the support of a group of composers, musicians and music lovers. Through the private initiative of this foundation, the Sax-Ensemble group concerts and musical creations, directed to the promotion of current musical art, have been coordinated, together with all other wills from public or private entities directed to the same purposes.
This Foundation organises a concert cycle called "Música para el tercer milenio" (Music for the Third Millennium), which takes place from October to December in different concert halls of the Region of Madrid, as well as the "Tribuna Sax-Ensemble" for young composers and numerous pedagogical activities, among which we may highlight the "European University of the Saxophone". The Foundation also awards grants for the students participating in these courses.
